What’s this?
The Social Change Wave is a 3-day contest held from Friday to Sunday and rewards the best idea of business and social innovation. It is intended for early stage ideas and potential social innovators who have identified a social challenge and are looking for a team to solve it!
The contest promotes teamwork and aims to support potential entrepreneurs and social innovators to develop their ideas in social business.
How is it done?
Friday April 13th
On Friday the 13th, the changemakers have 3 minutes to expose their pitch. The audience, made up of participants registered in the contest, speakers and mentors, votes on the ideas they deem best and which will become the object of development over the next two days. It is only the ideas that are discarded, not the participants! In fact, after the vote the teams are formed among all the participants – even those whose idea has not been chosen.
Saturday April 14 & Sunday April 15
Over the weekend, the groups will work on the best social enterprise ideas chosen by the participants, accompanied by mentors who are experts in social innovation. The teams created will be stimulated to give their best, putting all their passion and their technical contribution into a concentrate of networking, work and action.
The weekend is interspersed with inspirational speeches to motivate participants, introduce them to experiences of social innovation and expand their network.
What do you win?
All the winners will enter the Dialogue Place incubation path, during which they will be followed from the ideation phase of the company until the market launch, accompanied by Project Ahead, Impact Hub Rome, Make a Cube in Milan and many others.

Special prize Itacà Festival – best tourism company
Participation in the Itacà Festival of responsible tourism 2018 to be held in Naples in October.
What else?
This year, the Social Change Wave is more than a contest! To stimulate the reflections of all participants and expand their network, the Social Change Wave will host projections, interactive workshops and shows.
It starts on Friday at 19.30 with the projections and the interactive workshop on the story of migrations conducted by Migration Matters, the German organization that won the last Migration Media Award committed to stimulating informed debates on migration. On Saturday at 8pm, Monica Pinto and Ernesto Nobili will perform a voice and guitar concert, for a performance organized by Il Teatro Cerca Casa – second place at SCW 2013!
