Antonella Schiavone is our new host entrepreneur in Campania as part of the ERASMUS program to promote entrepreneurship. Project Ahead, the ERASMUS partner in Campania, chose Antonella because she built her own successful business, starting in Casal di Principe and now crossing the borders in Austria. In her role, Antonella will host an entrepreneur from another EU country for one to six months in which they can exchange ideas and collaborate.
The family-run company, led by Antonella Schiavone, originally sold its products only in its hometown, Casal di Principe, but has since expanded its activities in some areas of Naples, Bacoli, Monte di Procida and, more recently in Vienna in Austria with its new distribution center and the first outside Italy.
Project Ahead thought it would be nice for a new entrepreneur to be exposed to Antonella’s work ethic and above all to the way he runs his business: quality – something Antonella cares about – is a key component to producing La Stella Bianca . His farm follows dairy production from start to finish, to guarantee the quality of the products.
The farmhouse facilitates the entire process of creating its products, from what the buffaloes that produce milk eat, to the shelves of the Stella Bianca sales points. In fact, La Stella Bianca can only be found in the company’s designated sales outlets.
The star shape is not the only thing that distinguishes La Stella Bianca mozzarella from the others. The farm land is very fertile with specific minerals. When buffalo feed on the earth, these minerals influence the taste of the milk they produce, ultimately influencing the taste of mozzarella.
It gives mozzarella a characteristic taste that no one else can imitate. Having unique offers is important to make a company excel and this is evident in the complex process that La Stella Bianca has to make its products, another reason why Project Air has chosen Antonella – to make sure that the new entrepreneur can bring these lessons in the business creation process.
At just 29, Antonella is a young entrepreneur who already has the entrepreneurial skills and effective strategic thinking of an experienced entrepreneur and is already managing an international company. The decision to open its new distribution center in Austria is the result of three years of research. Austria is the closest state that allows La Stella Bianca to supply products in a few hours while they are still fresh, in line with Antonella’s emphasis on quality.
In addition, the store is strategically located near the Vienna opera house, with a different format from its offices in Italy. The Stella Bianca in Vienna not only has the traditional format for the sale of products, but also has indoor and outdoor seating, which allow customers to taste the products on site, whether it is a snack, a lunch or a dinner.
As a guest entrepreneur, Antonella will be able to guide a new entrepreneur and share her wisdom to empower those who follow a path similar to hers. Antonella has proven to be a successful entrepreneur in managing La Stella Bianca, which explains why she was chosen by ERASMUS to host an emerging young entrepreneur. We at Project Ahead look forward to hearing about Antonella’s experience as a guest entrepreneur and how much her student will learn from her.
